Keynote 10.3.8 for Mac is available as a free download on our application library. The bundle identifier for this application is com.apple.iWork.Keynote. The most popular versions among Keynote for Mac users are 6.5 and 5.3. Keynote was developed to work on Mac OS X 10.10 or later. Searching Apple Support for iWork for OS X 10.10 turned up a download link for iWork 9.3 however, from what I can tell, it may just be an update installer. But searching Apple Support is a good place to start. In order to use the App Store version, one would have to update to OS X 10.12 or higher as noted in the OP's question. The first beta of OS X El Capitan was released to developers shortly following the WWDC keynote on June 8, 2015. The first public beta was made available on July 9, 2015. There were multiple betas released after the keynote. OS X El Capitan was released to end users on September 30, 2015, as a free upgrade through the Mac App Store.
